With the help of of our installation kit, the PG Safety Gate easily attaches to the following:
The PG Kit is designed to give you the appropriate surface needed for the gate to stop in the closed position. It has been designed to work on many different types of vertical post.
The Kit comes with the following hardware:
(1) Mounting Bracket
(2) Hose Clamps
(2) Self-Tapping Screws
First, decide whether you prefer to strap the gate on or screw the gate into your bollard/post. Once that decision has been made, proceed to the desired installation instructions below.
Place the bracket at the desired height on the inside of the post with the two 1/4″ holes againts the post. Open each clamp and position around the post and into the bracket slots. Once the clamps are in position, tighten and trim any access.
With the bracket securely in place, mount the gate using the two supplied 3/8″ carriage bolts. For this installation, use the two 3/8″ holes 2 1/4″ from the outside edge.
Once the gate is mounted, remove the wing nut(s) and bolt(s) from the horizontal bar(s) to adjust the length of the gate to the desired size. Once you have adjusted the length of the gate, replace the bolt(s) and wing nut(s).
Place the bracket at the desired height on the inside of the post with the two 1/4″ holes against the post. Mark the positions for the two 1/4″ holes and drill. With the bracket in place, use the self-tapping screws to mount the bracket to the post.
With the bracket securely in place, mount the gate using the two supplied 3/8″ carriage bolts. For this installation, use the two 3/8″ holes 2 1/4″ from the outside edge.
Once the gate is mounted, remove the wing nut(s) and bolt(s) from the horizontal bar(s) to adjust the length of the gate to the desired size. Once you have adjusted the length of the gate, replace the bolt(s) and wing nut(s).
