History

For over 30 years, Intrepid Industries has manufactured molded plastic insulators for electrochemical processes providing high resistance to electrical current. Intrepid’s injection molded electrical insulators come in various dimensions.

Companies such as Dow, Summit Electric, Westlake, and Flohe have used our molded plastic insulators in their chlorine process to isolate bus bars and brine cells.

Insulator Material

Intrepid’s insulators are molded from a rigid polyurethane material called Instant Set Polymer (ISP). Due to this, they exhibit outstanding weather ability because it has a unique internal UV screen and provide a high resistance to electrical current.

Insulator Positive Properties:

  • Thick-Section Molded Parts
  • Supports Heavy Loads
  • Excellent UV Resistance
  • Good Atmospheric Chemical Resistance
  • Good Electrical Insulation

Insulator Negative Properties:

  • It will burn
